| Job Title: Safety Engineer |
| Description |
Leading Space organisation require an experienced Safety Engineer to join their expanding team in Hampshire.
The
candidate will be part of a small Safety and Product Liability team
working in the military and commercial environment. This role has a
significant safety bias but may also involve some environmental, human
factors and EMC test activities.
Day to day activities include;
liaise with internal engineers to help with continuous improvement of
safety implementation within design and product requirement
development; influencing project team members and communicating with
stakeholders; performing and maintaining safety analysis; producing
safety cases and reports for control centres, construct and maintain
Hazard Logs; Post delivery support to the customer will involve some
travelling to site to investigate any hardware issues in the field; etc.
We
are looking for experienced engineers qualified to degree / HND level
or equivalent. The engineer should have good knowledge of European New
Approach Directives including JSP 454, BS EN 61508; and preferably
defence and military standards. Desirable experience will include
CASSANDRA Hazard Log Management Tool, Human Factors standards, EMC
Standards and directives and aerospace / defence industry background.
