Job Title: Lead Composite Stress Engineer
Description
A leading Aerospace organisation currently requires a Lead Composite Stress Engineer to join their team to work on a variety of projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity of product sub assemblies.

The Lead Composite Stress Engineer will either directly or through delegation carry out static stress calculations for a range of tasks from design to manufacturing, ensuring fatigue and damage tolerance requirements are met. You will be the approval signatory for stress ands assist in the structural design process reporting on critical technical issues. Additionally supporting continuous improvement and provide coaching to less experienced engineers.

The Lead Stress Engineer should have substantial experience in stress engineering including both hand calculations and computer analysis tools. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in Engineering/Aerospace or similar.

Applicants will ideally be a chartered engineer or equivalent with the ability to be or become signatory level within a short time scale.

This position is based in Bristol.
