QinetiQ’s Aerostructures Line of Business employs more than 130 specialists in structural integrity, usage monitoring and software development and within its workshop facility operated under contract to DSTO. QinetiQ provide independent airworthiness advice and structural integrity related engineering services to operators of fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Under long term contract with the Australian Defence Force, QinetiQ holds a unique Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO) status. This accreditation means we are the only company accredited to provide certified structures and software designs for all Australian military aircraft types from the Museum Spitfire through to the JSF. We offer expert advice on structural airworthiness including fatigue management, aircraft usage monitoring, interpretation of structural certification and design standards, structural testing and engineering analysis.
Positions exist within our Melbourne, Australia based operations for tertiary degree qualified senior engineers with a minimum of 6 years of relevant industry or military experience.
Applicants shall have previous experience in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering with an emphasis on structural or mechanical systems. Experience in fatigue and damage tolerance analysis or repair and modification design and analysis would be an advantage. Consideration will also be given to engineers with a systems engineering or certification background.
