| Description |
| The role
- Due to on-going demand and growth in business my client are looking to recruit an additional Electrical Engineer to join their Business
- Reporting to the Engineering Manager the successful applicant will perform a wide range of engineering work throughout the project life cycle
Key responsibilities
- The successful candidate will carry out a vital role as part of a dedicated project
team, challenged with the task of delivering robust and cost effective power systems
in the naval power technology arena
- You will be responsible for a wide range of electrical engineering activities from
specifying requirements through to delivering designs fit for manufacture
- The role will challenge your experience of designing optimum solutions in a cost competitive high technology environment
- You will be working on
- DC-DC converters
- DC - AC inverters
- High power drives (10kW - 2MW)
- Working closely with other team members and sub-contractors, you will plan and
carry out your activities to develop technical solutions, which successfully meet the
overall project and customer objectives
The right candidate will have proven ability in the following areas
- A strong electrical engineering background
- Degree qualified in electrical engineering
- Working knowledge of safety and environmental techniques
- Fluency with computer based engineering tools is essential
- Familiarity with defence power engineering would be an advantage |
